1st Source opens 2 new centers

1st Source Bank celebrated the completion of an $8 million investment in the Fort Wayne area Wednesday with the grand opening of two new banking centers. 

The locations are at 7821 Carnegie Blvd., known as the Illinois Road Banking Center, and at 4605 E. Dupont Road, known as the Dupont Oaks Banking Center.

As part of the grand openings,1st Source presented $500 donations to Mad Anthonys Children’s Hope House at the Illinois Road location and to Cub Scout Pack 3049 at the Dupont Oaks location.

"1st Source is pleased to celebrate the grand opening of two new banking centers, conveniently located near where so many of our clients live and work," said Larry Mayers, president of 1st Source’s Fort Wayne region.

The $8 million investment in the Fort Wayne area included the remodeling of six 1st Source banking centers and the construction of the two new locations.

All eight Fort Wayne banking centers feature side-by-side banking, where bankers share their workspace, screens and banking know-how directly with their clients.

Traditional teller windows and counters that act as boundaries between clients and bank staff have been replaced.
