Divorce in works for 'Flop' stars

Associated Press

HGTV’s Tarek El Moussa has officially filed for divorce from wife and "Flip or Flop" co-star Christina El Moussa.

The couple’s publicist confirmed the filing to The Associated Press on Tuesday, but offered no other comment.

The move comes nearly a month after the pair said they were separating. In announcing the split, the El Moussas said police were called to their California home several months ago over what they termed an "unfortunate misunderstanding."

The Orange County sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the home in May after getting a report about a possibly suicidal man. They said Tarek El Moussa was later found in a nearby state park with a handgun. He denied being suicidal, but voluntarily gave up several guns. No one was arrested.

The El Moussas and HGTV have said "Flip or Flop" will continue.

A private split

Angelina Jolie Pitt and Brad Pitt have reached an agreement to handle their divorce in a private forum and will work together to reunify their family, the actors announced in a joint statement Monday.

Their statement released Monday night to The Associated Press said that they will keep future details of their divorce confidential by using a private judge.

"The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues," their statement read. "The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

The statement is the first joint comment from the actors on their divorce since Jolie Pitt filed in September.

An inside job?

Investigators focused Tuesday on the possibility that the October robbery of more than $10 million worth of jewelry from Kim Kardashian West was an inside job following the arrests of a chauffeur and his brother.

Three Paris officials, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation, confirmed that Kardashian West’s driver the night of the robbery and his younger brother were among 17 people taken into custody Monday.

Michael Madar, 40, and Gary Madar, 27, worked for the same livery company, according to two of the officials.

An investigating judge may travel to the United States to speak with Kardashian West, a judicial official said, adding that such a trip would not be imminent.
