HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILHARMONIC: The Fort Wayne Philharmonic will perform “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” on April 7 as part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, a global concert tour celebrating the “Harry Potter” films. The concert will feature the Philharmonic performing music from the film, which will be shown on a 40-foot screen at Memorial Coliseum. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday by calling 482-9502 or ticketmaster.com.
YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION: The Symphony of the Lakes, the professional orchestra branch of Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, will have its Young Artist Competition in February at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center for students in grades 9 to 12 who play strings (including guitar and harp), woodwinds, brass, percussion and piano.
