Angelina files for divorce

Associated Press

Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, bringing an end to what began as the world’s most tabloid headline-generating romance before morphing into a star-studded engine of family and philanthropy.

Jolie Pitt, 41, cited “irreconcilable difference” in divorce papers filed Monday in Los Angeles. She is seeking physical custody of their six children, with visitation rights for Pitt.

An attorney for Jolie Pitt, Robert Offer, said Tuesday that her decision to divorce was made “for the health of the family.” The filing dated the couple’s separation to last Thursday.

Though together for 12 years, Pitt and Jolie Pitt – known as “Brangelina” – only wed in August 2014. They married privately in the French hamlet of Correns in Provence with their children serving as ring bearers and throwing flower petals. They announced the ceremony days later.

Their children are 15-year-old Maddox, 12-year-old Pax, 11-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Chef, wife split

Celebrity chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain and his MMA fighter wife Ottavia Busia are separating after nine years of marriage.

A representative for Bourdain has confirmed reports of the split, but didn’t offer any comment.

Bourdain and Busia were married in 2007 and their daughter, Ariane, was born the same year.

Potter house sale

A suburban house that starred onscreen as Harry Potter’s childhood home is on the market – complete with a cupboard under the stairs.

Fans of the boy wizard will recognize 12 Picket Post Close as 4 Privet Drive, home of Harry’s dastardly aunt and uncle, the Dursleys.

The couple grudgingly took Harry in after his parents were murdered and made him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs.

The house in Bracknell, 30 miles west of London, was a location featured in the 2001 film “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” A studio set of the house was built for later installments of the eight-film series.
