Local singer Addison Agen performed Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" on Monday night's live episode of "The Voice."

In a pre-taped segment before her performance, Agen's coach told the Concordia Lutheran High School junior that he believes she's an "album type of artist," comparing her to Adele who can create an album that everyone will want.

The song was chosen by viewers via a feature on the singing competition's mobile app, and Adam Levine thought it was a great fit.

"You were born to sing this song, I genuinely believe that," said Levine, who is Agen's coach.

Agen said the song was a big one to live up to, but she appreciated the fans choosing it for her.

"Coming from a songwriter, it's really the meaning behind the songs that's the main part," she said. "And I'm so glad that my fans realize that that's really what I want to sing about."

Agen's live performance of "A Case of You" had all four judges on their feet.

"Great is great, and you are beyond great. You are gifted, it's not even a talent, it's a gift," said rival coach Jennifer Hudson, who urged the audience to vote for her even though Agen isn't on her team. "I can't wait for you to be on a record so I can hear it over and over and over again."

Levine said the coaches and the audience, which included Agen's mother, were moved by her performance.

"This performance of this particular song was, for you, Addison, the full realization of what your talent is," he said. "And this is the perfect moment to have shown it, because you move me. You inspire me. You inspire everyone you sing to. I think that this is potentially the winner of this show, but more importantly I think it's one of my favorite voices I've heard in a long time. You're incredible."

Agen will perform again live tonight with coach Adam Levine and fellow team member Adam Cunningham as part of the entertainment on the results show, she said in a live video Monday on her Instagram.

Fan votes cast during and after Monday night's episode will be revealed during tonight's show beginning at 8 p.m. on NBC. The performers with the lowest number of votes will perform a new solo song and the home audience can try to save their favorite by tweeting #VoiceSave along with the singer's name. The singer that is not saved will be eliminated from the competition.

The remaining singers move on to the top 10 and will perform again live next Monday.
