Special events

• Whitehorse Biker Church will have its “Whitehorse Ride Night” series from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at C-Town Wings, 1903 Havemann Road, Celina, Ohio, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at LifeHouse Church (Fricker's parking lot), 719 Fox Road, Van Wert, Ohio.

• Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, will host Ray Armstrong, a Mark

Twain impersonator, in “Mark Twain 1906” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

• Bethany United Methodist Church, 7715 Sunny Lane, will host Mitchell Maibach in concert at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 26.

• First Baptist Church, 201 South Jefferson St., Ossian, will host the Singing Friends in concert at 6 p.m. Aug. 26. The concert is free but a freewill donation will be collected.


• First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, will present the second part of an interactive discussion about “America's Godly Heritage” at 6 p.m. Sunday. The program focuses on the First Amendment and the cultural changes made in regard to religious freedoms.

• The “Greater Fort Wayne Celebration with Will Graham” is offering free classes at local churches to help Christians develop their faith. The sessions are in advance of a three-day outreach at Memorial Coliseum on Oct. 6 to 8. The series, “Christian Life and Witness Course,” is available at the following churches: Westview Alliance Church, Monday, Aug. 28 and Sept. 4; First Baptist Church in New Haven, Monday, Aug. 28 and Sept. 4; Life Bridge Church, Tuesday, Aug. 29 and Sept. 5; True Love Missionary Baptist Church, Tuesday, Aug. 29 and Sept. 5; Waynedale Baptist Church, Tuesday, Aug. 29 and Sept. 5; First Assembly Fort Wayne, Thursday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 7; Edgerton Wesleyan Church, Woodburn, Thursday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 7; and The Journey FMC, Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and 9. In addition, a youth-focused version of the course will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 at First Assembly Fort Wayne. For more information, go to
