Special events

• Powers Church, nine miles east of Angola on Old Road 1, will have its Celebration of Christmas service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The service will include traditional carols and the reading of the Christmas story in the King James version of the Bible.

• New Haven United Methodist Women will have its Holiday Fantasies Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Highway East, New Haven. A luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Markle United Methodist Church, Markle, will have Christmas in Our Town with a soup supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2. There will be a cookie corner and kids' shop and following the supper will be an organ concert at 7 p.m.

• Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Road, will have a craft bazaar and cookie walk from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Breakfast and lunch are available.

• Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Road, will have a cookie and candy walk from 8:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 2. Cost is $6 per pound. The free Agape Express Puppet Show will be at 10 a.m.

Seminars

• Church Doctor Ministries in Corunna will have a round table discussion for area pastors, ministry leaders and church members from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Destiny Family of Faith in Kendallville.
