• “Rekindle The Fire” annual Catholic diocesan men's conference happens from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today at Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave. The event is open to men of all faiths. Featured speakers are the Rev. Kevin C. Rhoades, bishop of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese; Christopher West and Joe Farris. Cost is $45. To register, go to or call 452-6875.

• The Fort Wayne/Allen County Church Women United will have its annual World Day of Prayer at 1 p.m. Friday at Community of Christ Church, 3223 Hobson Road. The theme is “All God's Creation is Very Good.” Cost is $3 and reservations can be made by calling 637-1842.


• The University of Saint Francis Department of Philosophy and Theology will have “Truth, Consumerism and Democracy,” featuring Dr. Lewis Pearson, at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Historic Woman's Club on the third floor of the USF Business Center, 826 Ewing St. The event is free.

• The following churches are offering Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University: Shoaff Park Baptist Church, 6651 St. Joe Road, classes begin at 6 p.m. March 5; and Abundant Life Church, 3301 Coliseum Blvd., classes begin at 7 p.m. March 7. For more information or to register, go to
