Dwenger's Eifert commits to Irish
Greg Eifert didn’t have to wait for Tuesday’s official announcement. Late last week he had a pretty good idea that his son, Tyler, would wind up playing football at Notre Dame. On the day that Bishop Dwenger tight end Tyler Eifert was offered a scholarship from the Irish, his father, Greg, a former basketball standout at Purdue and active with the local alumni group, drove from his cottage near Angola to South Bend for the specific purpose of picking up a Notre Dame flag.
