More than 60 kayakers and canoers hit the rivers for the river and bike trails party. The annual event allows those participating to see the city and its rivers from a different perspective. 

  • Rachel Von | The Journal Gazette Ted Neal, a professor at Ball State, works on adding insulating fire bricks to a wood kiln that's being built for the ceramics program behind the visual arts building at IPFW on Thursday. A wood kiln is fired by wood and the insulating fire bricks hold the heat inside. The kiln is being built by a group of people including an assistant professor and a IPFW student they hope to be done by Saturday and they project the kiln should last 15-20 years.
