Purdue Fort Wayne has contracted with Lutheran Health Network to provide health care for all of the university's student athletes, officials announced Wednesday.

Sports medicine, sports performance and other services will be provided by Fort Wayne Orthopedics, Optimum Performance Sports and Lutheran Health Network.

Kelley Hartley Hutton, PFW's athletics director, described student-athletes' health care as a priority.

“We are excited and confident that this partnership will help our student-athletes achieve peak performance through top-notch care in areas like injury prevention, diagnostics and specialized rehabilitation,” she said in a statement.
