Schools attack hunger with food drive

Five schools collected 42,408.51 pounds of food for Community Harvest Food Bank's UCanCrushHunger food drive, the food bank announced today.

The friendly competition was held among the University of Saint Francis, Indiana Tech, Huntington University, IPFW and Ivy Tech.

First place went to Saint Francis, which collected 21,582.35 pounds of food. Indiana Tech came in second, with 13,563.12 pounds; Huntington was third with 3,141 pounds; IPFW was fourth with 2,815 pounds; and Ivy Tech was fifth with 1,307.04 pounds.
