A Fort Wayne man shot another man in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant Saturday as the victim's wife and two children scrambled to avoid gunfire, according to court documents.
Martrell S. Weaver, 21, was charged Wednesday with battery by means of a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
Court documents say the victim confronted Weaver after Weaver allegedly was looking in the windows of a relative of the victim. Weaver then shot the man in the leg and later ran from police.
The victim's wife and teenage children dove out of the way to avoid being shot, court documents say.
