25-year sentence issued in marijuana shooting
Dave Gong | The Journal Gazette
The man who killed Jamal Anderson in September was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison.
On Sept. 2, Mylinque S. Wallace, 21, drove to Anderson's apartment at Villages of Hanna to sell Anderson a bag of marijuana. An ensuing struggle over the bag led to Wallace firing his gun once, striking Anderson. According to court documents, Wallace then drove away, running over Anderson's legs.
Wallace pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter last month.
