A Michigan man was found dead in Paulding County, Ohio, early Wednesday after his semi ran off U.S. 24, struck a ditch and went into a field, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
The patrol at Van Wert said Matthew J. Coleman, 61, of Westland, Michigan, was driving east on U.S. 24 about 2:30 a.m. when his vehicle went off the right side of the road near County Road 83 west of Cecil.
First responders found Coleman inside the semi and unresponsive, the patrol said. He was wearing his seat belt, and alcohol use is not suspected.
The crash and the cause of Coleman's death remain under investigation, the patrol said.
2 in Warsaw face meth lab charges
Two men are behind bars after an investigation led police to a mobile meth lab, Warsaw police said Wednesday.
At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, investigators said they saw a mobile meth lab inside a car at 3762 W. Old Road 30 on Warsaw's west side, police said in a statement.
Robert Alan Nelson Jr., 52, of Elkhart was charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, corrupt business influence, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia. Nelson was being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $20,250 bond.
Ryan James McBride, 24, of LaGrange was charged with corrupt business influence, possession of precursors, theft and visiting a common nuisance. McBride was being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $10,250 bond.
Also, a juvenile boy was taken to the St. Joseph County Juvenile Justice Center, police said.
