Area drug task force nets 21 arrests

Twenty-one people were arrested early Thursday on drug charges as a result of an investigation by police in Adams and Wells counties.

The Adams, Allen and Wells county sheriff's departments; the Berne, Bluffton, Decatur and Geneva police departments and the Indiana State Police began arresting suspects about 4 a.m.

The DETECT Drug Investigations Task Force, which includes officers from the Adams and Wells county sheriff's departments and the Berne, Bluffton and Decatur police departments, conducted several months of investigation.

All but two of the suspects face felony charges.

Those arrested:

• Misty Myers, charged with dealing a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance

• Rick CE Loshe, charged with dealing a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance and misdemeanor dealing a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance

• Drew A. Ripley, charged with dealing a substance represented to be a controlled substance

• Shane A. Barger, charged with aiding, inducing, or causing dealing cocaine and dealing cocaine

• Joey K. Berlanga, chargedwith dealing a narcotic drug

• Brandy St. John-Kingery, charged with dealing cocaine

• Zachary Gumm, charged with dealing a narcotic drug in the presence of a child and dealing cocaine

• Jay A. Scheumann, charged with dealing a controlled substance and dealing cocaine

• Joe J. Becerra, charged with felony dealing cocaine

• Janet K. Berlanga, charged with felony dealing a narcotic drug and dealing a narcotic drug in the presence of a child

• Summer M. Brown, four counts dealing a controlled substance within 500 feet of school property

• Martha Eldridge, charged with dealing a narcotic drug

• Andrew Garcia Jr., charged with two counts dealing a narcotic drug and two counts dealing cocaine

• Thera J. Raugh, charged with dealing a narcotic drug in the presence of a child and dealing a narcotic drug

• Charles J. Eldridge Jr., charged with dealing a narcotic drug and dealing a narcotic drug in the presence of a child

• Angela M. Truex, charged with dealing a narcotic drug and dealing a controlled substance in the presence of a child

• Jacob J. Berlanga, charged with aiding, inducing or causing dealing a narcotic drug

• Adam W. Trembley, charged with dealing a controlled substance and dealing a narcotic drug

• Delayne E. Harrell, charged with dealing a narcotic drug.

One man was arrested on misdemeanor charges of dealing a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance.

Another man was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of dealing marijuana.
