Bicyclist badly injured in hit-and-run crash

Police are looking for a driver who fled after hitting a bicyclist in Woodburn, leaving him in critical condition.

The bicyclist was traveling south on Bull Rapids Run Thursday and was struck by a vehicle traveling the same direction. The bicyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. 

The hit-and-run crash occurred at 5:05 p.m. when there was daylight, Adam Griffith, public information officer for the Allen County Sheriff's Department, said Friday. Surface conditions were dry and the weather was clear, he added. 

The victim was an adult man, Griffith said.
