2 city sisters say abuse lasted years

An Indianapolis man has allegedly absconded to his native El Salvador after being charged with child molesting.

Cruz Castro-Gonzalez, 53, was accused by two sisters who live in Fort Wayne of performing sex acts on them. One girl said the abuse started when she was 5 or 6 years old. The abuse was alleged to go on for two to three years and was estimated in court documents as taking place from July 1, 2014, to March 10 of this year, court documents said.

The abuse took place in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, the girls said.

The victims' mother became suspicious when she noticed one of her daughters had a bruise on her breast. The daughter told her mother a piece of luggage hit her and then the other daughter started to tell their story, court documents said.

The victims' mother drove down with another relative to confront Castro-Gonzalez, who denied touching the girls inappropriately and then apologized and told them “that's not going to happen again.” Castro-Gonzalez also asked for forgiveness, court documents.

He was charged Friday with two counts of child molesting. There is a warrant for his arrest.
