A Fort Wayne man pronounced dead at a local hospital after being shot in the parking lot of a northeast-side nightclub early Sunday morning has been identified.
Leon Dante Moore, 23, is the county's fourth homicide victim this year.
Moore and another man - who has not been identified - were shot in the parking lot outside Piere's at the Marketplace of Canterbury just after 3 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
Fort Wayne Police officers were in the parking lot and had just broken up a fight when shots rang out.
The officers made their way through a throng of people and found Moore and another man in the lot outside Club Phoenix, one of several bars inside the sprawling Piere's complex.
While Moore died, the other man was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
What led to the shooting and whether there are any suspects has not been released.
