Women in shootings identified

Dave Gong | The Journal Gazette

The two women killed last weekend have been identified by the Allen County coroner’s office, which has ruled their deaths homicides.

Erin Lecretia Lawson, 31, died early Sunday from a gunshot wound she suffered late Saturday.

Lawson was found in a vehicle with a seriously injured man about 11:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Colerick Street about two blocks away from where gunshots were reported.

Lawson died at a hospital shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday.

Reyna Elida Ramirez-Coronado, 36, was killed Sunday night in the 4700 block of Warsaw Street. The cause of her death, the coroner’s office has determined, was also a gunshot wound.

During that investigation, police found a man inside the home also suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital and was listed in critical condition Sunday.

Ramirez-Coronado was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the shooting may have been the result of a domestic dispute.

Both shootings remain under investigation, authorities said.
