Committee narrows list of chancellor candidates to 10
RON SHAWGO | The Journal Gazette
The search to replace IPFW Chancellor Vicky Carwein has narrowed.
The chancellor search committee announced last week that it has evaluated more than 50 applications and has narrowed them to 10 for further consideration.
“We have been extremely pleased with both the level of interest in the position and the quality of the applicants,” a committee email states. “The committee will be meeting again at the beginning of July to continue the process.”
The committee will select up to three finalists for campus visits, according to a message on IPFW's website. The selected candidate is expected to take office Sept. 1 “or as soon as practical.”
The new chancellor will succeed Carwein, who has held the position since September 2012. Carwein announced in April she would retire by the end of the year.
