Marching bands

Carroll was the overall grand champion at Homestead's Fall Festival of Bands Invitational on Saturday.

In Open Class A, Carroll took first place, Lafayette Jefferson was second, and Snider was third. In Open Class B, East Noble was first, with Huntington North second and Wayne third. East Noble took visual, music and effect caption awards. In Open Class C, Angola took first, Concordia Lutheran took second, and Norwell took third. In Open Class D, Adams Central was first, Elwood Community second, and Woodlan third.

Northrop competed at the Zionsville Invitational in Scholastic Class A and placed fourth, with a best music caption award. Columbia City Marching Eagles placed sixth.

North Side competed at the Fishers Invitational and took first place in Scholastic Class A, with music, visual and general effect caption awards.

At the Plymouth Harvest Festival of Bands, the Heritage Marching Patriots were first in Scholastic Class B.
