FWCS board seeks to extend Robinson's contract

ASHLEY SLOBODA | The Journal Gazette

Although Superintendent Wendy Robinson's contract doesn't expire until 2019, the Fort Wayne Community Schools board is taking action to extend it by one year.

A public hearing is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Grile Administration Building, 1200 S. Clinton St., about the proposed extension to June 30, 2020.

If approved, her annual salary would remain at $210,164.

Considering other benefits – including a $20,000 annuity, cell phone and vehicle expenses, and insurance – the monetary value of the total package is estimated between $278,807 and $293,807 annually depending on conditional payments, according to a legal notice.

The school board is expected to vote during a special meeting set for 5 p.m. Dec. 18.
