IPFW announces Omnibus lecturers

A retired admiral, an environmental activist and one of the country's top political-commenter couples are scheduled to speak during IPFW's Omnibus Lecture Series this season, the university announced today:
* Eric Olson, a retired four-star admiral and Navy SEAL, is to speak on "The World at Night" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Auer Performance Hall at Rhinehart Music Center on the IPFW campus.
* Bill McKibben, environmental activist and author, is to speak on "The Climate Fight Reaches its Crucial Stage" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5; tickets are available starting Oct. 12.
* James Carville and Mary Matalin are to speak on "All's Fair: Love, War and Politics" at 7 p.m. March 24, 2016; tickets are available starting Feb. 29, 2016. Carville led Bill Clinton's successful presidential campaign; Matalin served as George H.W. Bush's campaign director.
The Omnibus Lecture Series, now in its 21st season, seeks to present diverse ideas through respected speakers to northeast Indiana, the university's statement said.
Tickets may be obtained three weeks in advance of each event at the Larson Ticket Office in the Gates Athletic Center, online through the box office website or one hour before the event at Rhinehart if seats are still available.
