A grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. will allow a statewide initiative that aligns K-12 and regional workforce needs to continue for two more years, the University of Indianapolis said today.
The $925,000 grant will support the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning at the university. A CELL program, Education Workforce Innovation Network, will be directly supported by the grant.
The network provides resources and technical assistance that clarifies workforce needs and coordinates educational programming and training efforts, the university said in a statement.
It creates regional partnerships among school corporations, colleges and universities, workforce development agencies, businesses and nonprofit organizations, the statement said.
