“Ensuring costumes are labeled flame-resistant or flame-retardant is a simple fire safety precaution that Hoosiers can do to make sure Halloween remains a safe holiday,” said Indiana State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson.
Individuals are posing as associates of the Indiana State Police and are collecting money for the needy children for Thanksgiving.
On average, twice as many kids are killed while walking on Halloween compared to other days of the year.
As the farmers move their equipment from field to field motorists are reminded to exercise caution on the roadways particularly on county roads. This is also deer mating season.

Halloween may be a fun holiday for children, but for parents the holiday can be a little tricky.

The health department anticipates receiving more vaccine later this week and will make any announcements about clinic dates at that time.

Leaves are to be raked to the curb or park strip in front of the residence or placed in biodegradable bags for collection. Other yard waste should not be mixed with the leaves, and cars should not be parked over the leaves.

For now, the H1N1 injectable vaccine offered at Carew will be reserved for children ages six months through 4 years of age. Children with asthma or other chronic health conditions can get this vaccine.

"The H1N1 injectable vaccine that arrived Tuesday is beinggiven to healthcare providers to vaccinate pregnant women, chronically ill children and healthcare workers and is not available at the public vaccination clinic."
The City of Fort Wayne has reached an agreement with National Serv-All to provide garbage and recycling collection services for 2010 at 2009 rates.
The first doses of H1N1 injectable will be used to vaccinate pregnant women, chronically ill children and medical workers.
"We are cooperating with health officials for the protection of our own health and the health of those outside the parish community, and especially our children."
Due to the very limited number of doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine currently coming to the state, many local health departments are able to target only small numbers of individuals in high risk groups and will not yet be holding public vaccination clinics.
"Protecting the public from a confirmed source of groundwater pollution and the public's health are our primary concerns," Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller said. "This public-private partnership will help a local employer remain in the community and keep jobs in Angola."
