INDIANAPOLIS – Huntington North lost to Plainfield 3-1 in the Class 4A softball state championship Saturday at Ben Davis.
Western defeated Bellmont 11-6 to win a Class 3A baseball state semistate.
INDIANAPOLIS – Huntington North should have a big crowd for the Class 4A softball state championship game tonight at Ben Davis High School.
Lafayette Central Catholic defeated Blackhawk Christian 4-1 in the sent Class A baseball semistate Saturday afternoon.
INDIANAPOLIS – Adams Central fell in the Class 2A softball state championship 3-1 to South Putnam on Saturday at Ben Davis.

INDIANAPOLIS – Lakewood Park won the Class 3A state softball championship Saturday with a 3-2 win over Indianapolis Lutheran at Ben Davis.
Bellmont finished fifth and Huntington North ninth at the Muncie Central golf regional Friday.
LAFAYETTE – South Side gave up four unearned runs in the first inning and couldn't recover in losing to Zionsville 9-2 in the championship game of the Lafayette regional Saturday at Loeb Stadium.
MONTICELLO – Woodlan’s softball team fell 7-1 loss Saturday night to Andrean at the Class 3A Twin Lakes Semistate.
LAFAYETTE - Carroll’s magical, magnificent run that gave it back-to-back Class 4A state championships and a third consecutive sectional title ended with a resounding bang Saturday, as the Chargers lost to Zionsville 11-2 in the semifinals of the Lafayette regional at Loeb Stadium.
BLOOMINGTON– The Carroll 3,200-meter relay team captured a championship Saturday at the boys state track meet atIndianaUniversity.The relay team was made up of junior Eric Claxton, junior Alex Hess, senior John Hester and junior Jonathan Harper.
From northeast Indiana, state champions in Bloomington on Friday came from Wayne's Brionna Thomas (100, 200), DeKalb's Rachel Dincoff (discus), Warsaw's Ashley Erba (3,200) and Northrop's 1,600 relay team.
BLOOMINGTON – Northeast Indiana was well-represented at the girls state track meet Friday at Indiana University. Three area individuals, along with a relay team, won state titles at the season's finale and biggest track meet.
