Another Saturday, another close loss.Instead of not holding a lead, as was the case the previous two weeks, Indiana couldn't complete a comeback falling to Wisconsin 31-28.

Indiana's Darius Willis was helped off the field after the second play of the third quarter. The freshman running back did not return after suffering an undisclosed injury. He was hurt while getting tackled on a 10-yard pass play.

John Clay has 134 rushing yards, helping Wisconsin to a 24-14 halftime lead against Indiana. Clay and Montee Ball have rushing touchdowns for the Badgers.Tandon Doss has two touchdown catches for IU. His second came on a 48-yard pass from Ben Chappell. Doss has 83 receiving yards. The second touchdown, which came with 2:32 remaining in the first half, made it 17-14 Wisconsin.

Phillip Welch made a 28-yard field goal moments into the second quarter, giving Wisconsin a 10-7 lead against Indiana.The Hoosiers took advantage of a Badgers' mistake on special teams for their touchdown. David Gilreath fumbled a punt by IU's Chris Hagerup. Collin Taylor recovered for IU at Wisconsin's 10. Two plays later, Ben Chappell rolled to his left and completed an 11-yard touchdown to Tandon Doss.

Indiana junior quarterback Ben Chappell, senior long snapper Brandon Bugg and junior running back Trea Burgess earned a spot on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday. Chappell is an accounting major with a 3.7 grade point average. Bugg holds a 3.60 GPA in the IU Kelley School of Business MBA program. Burgess is a telecommunications major and has a 3.47 grade point average.

Freshman Bawa Muniru has been cleared to play for Indiana by the NCAA Clearinghouse, the school confirmed Thursday.Muniru has practiced with the team since arriving, awaiting word on his eligibility. The 7-foot-0 center did not play in Wednesday's exhibition game against Grace.

Northfield graduate Nathan VanDuyne, Huntington North graduate Tannan Peters and Taylor Long, a Warsaw graduate, each saw playing time for Grace in Wednesday's 96-73 Indiana win. None of the three scored, but Peters and Long went 0 for 1 from the field. Peters had one rebound.

Tom Crean stressed that Wednesday's starting lineup wouldn't exactly be the one the Hoosiers will use for the season. Still, just in case you were wondering Christian Watford, Maurice Creek, Jeremiah Rivers, Verdell Jones III and Tom Pritchard started for IU against Grace.

Ray Fisher suffered a knee injury on the opening kickoff against Iowa. Coach Bill Lynch wasn't ready to say if Fisher would be lost for the season.
