WASHINGTON – A children’s safety equipment manufacturer has agreed to recall about 220,000 infant travel beds after reports of one infant’s death and nine others entrapped or distressed while inside the portable sleep tents.
More than 200,000 lawnmower engines have been recalled after 110 reports of fuel-filter leaks.
DETROIT – Chrysler is recalling more than 919,000 older-model Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty SUVs worldwide because the airbags can inflate while people are driving them.
The bottom locking mechanism can fail to lock properly if a spring is not installed, allowing the bassinet to tip to one side and cause infants to roll to the side of the bassinet, the recall notice said.
About 170,800 units have been recalled because the lower pivot pin can break, causing the door to disengage from the overhead track, the announcement said.
