Forecasting snow is tough – very tough. Other than tornadoes, snow amounts are probably the most difficult to predict. The main reason is the water ratio of snow. Usually it is 10-to-1 but can be higher.

Six. Thats the number of days we have already hit 50 degrees this year. Six times! Lets put that in perspective. Last year (not an unusually cold winter), we hit 50 for the second time on Feb. 17.

A snowy stretch
For the first two weeks of the month, snow lovers were lamenting our weather and people who hate the cold were basking in the unusual warmth. That seems like a long time ago now.
