Outlook: The Cougars, who are coming off a bye week, remain only behind Marian and Morningside in the NAIA coaches poll. … Quarterback Nick Ferrer earned his sixth Mid-States Football Association Player of the Week award after he threw for 295 yards with five touchdowns in the 37-6 victory over Taylor in Fort Wayne on Sept. 10. No other Cougars player has received the award six times; Jeremy Hibbeln (1998-01) and Chris Bramell (2002-05) did it five times. … Saint Francis and Lindenwood-Belleville have met only twice before. The Cougars won 44-7 on the road in 2012. Last year, Saint Francis won 74-13. … Lindenwood has been outscored 80-35 this season, including a 25-0 loss to Olivet Nazarene on Sept. 10 and a 24-19 loss to Saint Ambrose last week. … Donnie Foster has been the biggest offensive weapon, making 22 catches for 209 yards. But Lindenwood has only two touchdown catches, both by Michael Aschemann. … Defensively, Trey Parker has 18 solo tackles and an interception. … Saint Francis has done damage on the ground with Aaron Harris (24 carries, 178 yards, 4 touchdowns), Justin Green (27 carries, 168 yards, 2 TDs) and P.J. Dean (24 carries, 150 yards, 1 TD). Ferrer has completed 61 of 98 passes for 962 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. Seth Coate has 10 catches for 248 yards and four touchdowns, and Montay McDowell, Akeim Kelsaw and Rocky James have combined for five touchdown catches. … Defensively, Eric Dunten has 11 solo tackles and an interception, Spencer Cowherd has 12 solo tackles and a sack and Lucas Sparks has five sacks with nine solo tackles. … Saint Francis has won 15 of its 18 previous homecoming games and three of its last four.
