4 games to watch

Class 6A

Carmel (7-4) at Snider (11-0): The Greyhounds are looking for their fifth straight regional title, while the Panthers are out for their fourth in a row. The teams are playing for the first time in eight years as Snider went to Class 6A because of the IHSAA tournament success formula. The Greyhounds have beaten the Panthers three straight times. Last week, Snider knocked off Carroll 52-12, while Carmel beat Lafayette Jeff 41-20.

Class 4A

Bishop Dwenger (9-3) at Angola (12-0): The Hornets have remained unbeaten by winning in overtime the last two weeks, 28-21 over NorthWood and 31-30 over Culver Academy. Bishop Dwenger beat Wayne 41-20 last week. The Saints will be in search of their first regional title since 2015 when they won the state championship. The Hornets won their first sectional championship since 1992, also the same year of their last regional title.

Class 3A

Mishawaka Marian (8-4) at Bishop Luers (8-4): Last week, the Luers Knights knocked off defending state champion and SAC rival Concordia, 20-14. It was Luers' first sectional crown since 2014, the same time frame since its last regional championship. The Marian Knights beat Jimtown 21-7 last week for their third straight sectional title. Marian will be looking for its second regional crown in the last three seasons. Luers is 6-1 all time against Marian, including winning the last five times. The two teams haven't played since the Luers Knights' 34-6 win in 1990.

Class 2A

Woodlan (10-2) at North Newton (8-4): The Warriors have won three in a row, all in the postseason, including a 44-19 win over Central Noble last week for their first sectional title in two years. The Spartans beat Boone Grove 38-14 for their first sectional championship since 1993. Woodlan last won a regional in 2015, while North Newton is looking for its first regional title since 1987. The teams have never met.
