Unbeaten Bruins girls stop DeKalb

The Northrop girls basketball team improved to 6-0 with a 68-34 win at DeKalb on Friday.

Morgan Hughes scored 12 for the Bruins, and Arielle Thatcher added 10.

Leigha Brown, who sprained her ankle during the game, led the Barons (4-3) with 11 points and five rebounds, and Addison Ruby scored 10.

The team finished with 18 assists on 28 baskets, led by Niomi Dube's eight.

BISHOP LUERS 44, COLUMBIA CITY 35: At Bishop Luers, Lydia Reimbold led the Knights (4-2) with 12 points. Olivia Shearer scored 16 for the Eagles (2-5).

WEST NOBLE 62, FREMONT 50: At West Noble, Megan Godfrey led the Chargers (4-1, 2-1 NECC) with 15 points, and Madison Schermerhorn added 13. Samantha Kuhn scored 22 for the Eagles (3-4, 0-3).

SOUTH ADAMS 46, BLUFFTON 38: At Bluffton, Lexi Dellinger finished with 22 points, and Madi Wurster scored 12 for the Starfires (4-1, 1-0 ACAC). Emme Boots scored 13 to lead the Tigers (5-2, 0-1).
