Leo girls beat Columbia City in OT

JOURNAL GAZETTE

The Leo girls basketball team outlasted Columbia City 45-43 in overtime on Saturday.

Sophia Pierce led the Lions (4-5, 1-0 Northeast Eight) with 14 points and Brooke Smith had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Olivia Shearer led the Eagles (2-7, 0-1) with 14 points.

SOUTH SIDE 86, JAY COUNTY 60: At Jay County, Mikeba Jones led the Archers (6-0) with 21, Shamari Jackson had 16, Taniece Chapman and Shamari Tyson each added 13 and Jaci Jones scored 12.

Kendra Muhlenkamp had 14 points and Shelby Caldwell added 12 for the Patriots (3-5).

CONCORDIA 40, CANTERBURY 16: At Concordia, Carissa Garcia scored 21 to lead the Cadets (7-3) over the Cavaliers (3-7).

BELLMONT 62, DEKALB 10: At Bellmont, Grace Hunter had 17 and Kenzie McMahon added 11 for the Braves (5-2, 1-0 Northeast Eight) over the Barons (4-5, 0-1).

LAKELAND CHRISTIAN 77, HAMILTON 18: At Hamilton, Hope Fancil scored 27 and had 11 rebounds, Anna Reimink had 10 points and 10 steals, Torie Calizo had 14 points and 11 rebounds and Jess Slone had 15 rebounds for the Cougars (5-3).

WOODLAN 46, ADAMS CENTRAL 35: At Adams Central, Addison Bayman scored 17 to lead the Warriors (4-6, 1-1 ACAC).

LAKELAND 51, FREMONT 43: At Lakeland, Erica Linker led the Eagles (3-6, 0-4 NECC) with 15 and Madelyn Cress added 10.

EASTSIDE 47, GARRETT 28: At Garrett, Blazers (7-1, 2-1 NECC) senior Lindsey Beard scored her 1,000th point in the win.

Boys

CARROLL 66, GOSHEN 39: At Carroll, Dan McKeeman led the Chargers (2-0) with 22 points on 9 of 16 shooting and David Ejah added 10.

Will Line scored 17 and Bryant Robinson added 15 for the RedHawks (1-3).

SOUTH SIDE 55, JAY COUNTY 38: At South Side, Trejean Didier and Asher Blum each scored 17 for the Archers (2-0) and Mikale Stevenson added 12.

MARION 65, HOMESTEAD 64, OT: At Homestead, the Giants won on a jumper with less than 10 seconds left.

The Spartans (1-2) were led by 27 points from Sam Buck and 15 from Onye Ezeakudo.

Latrell Simpson scored 22 for Marion (2-1).

HUNTINGTON NORTH 44, WARSAW 36: At Warsaw, Zach Daugherty led the Vikings (4-0) with 15 points and Trey Williams added 10.

Tyler Metzinger scored nine for the Tigers (2-2).
