Cadets open SAC tourney with OT win

The Concordia boys eked out a first-round SAC Tournament win over Northrop, 45-44 in overtime, at Wayne on Wednesday.

The Cadets held a 35-30 lead after the third quarter but the score was tied at 39 in regulation.

Jadon Dance and Brayden Pearson each scored 12 for Concordia.

The Bruins were led by Jalen Royal and Isaac Anderson who scored 10 points each.

The Cadets advance to play North Side today.

BISHOP DWENGER 49, BISHOP LUERS 37: The Saints opened with a 18-8 first-quarter lead.

Hayden Smithey scored 18 for Bishop Dwenger as Lucas Lehrman added 10. Mark Strum scored 12 to lead the Knights.

Girls

BISHOP LUERS 61, NORTH SIDE 25: Lydia Reimbold scored 16 and Jaraiya Bright added 13 for the Knights, who led 21-3 after the first quarter and 41-9 at half.

Ja'Shanek Brooks scored 13 for the Legends.

SNIDER 58, WAYNE 21: The Panthers led 28-7 at halftime.

Hannah Barnes and Da'Leshia Davis led the Panthers with 19 points each and Medina Jackson had 12 for the Generals.
