East Noble places 2 on first-team All-NE8

Northeast Eight conference champion East Noble leads the all-conference teams as all five Knights that were nominated were honored.

Junior Ali Ali (16.3 points per game) and sophomore Hayden Jones (14.7 points) earned first-team accolades; juniors Michael Bender and Brent Cox were second-team selections; and senior Drew Devers was honorable mention.

The Knights went 7-0 to secure their first outright conference championship since 2000. East Noble hadn't won a conference title since sharing the Northeast Hoosier Conference title with DeKalb in 2007. East Noble (21-3) finished the season with a 60-59 loss to Carroll in a Class 4A East Noble Sectional semifinal.

Also on the first team are DeKalb's Logan Kruse, New Haven's Brecar Clark and James Gardner, Huntington North's Zach Daugherty and Mitchell Geller, Leo's Jeremy Davison and Columbia City's Mitchell Wilson.

DeKalb's Isaac Brown, Bellmont's Kade Fuelling, New Haven's Zach Latham, Norwell's Brandon Nicholson, Huntington North's Hank Pulver and Sawyer Stoltz and Leo's Lane Reed and Luke Stoller joined the Knights' pair on the second team.

Also honorable mention are Leo's Blake Davison, Bellmont's Jordan Fuelling and Brady Manis, Columbia City's Garrett Roehling, Huntington North's Joe Stoffel and Norwell's Luke Zeddis.
