Mad Ants 112 Canton 110
Moore's late score wins for Ants
Ben Moore's layup with 4.1 seconds left in Canton, Ohio, was the difference as the Mad Ants defeated the Canton Charge 112-110 on Friday.
Canton had a chance to win it, but Marcus Thornton missed a 3-pointer with a second left, and Fort Wayne (23-15), which leads the Central Division, showed its resiliency once again.
It was the second game for the Mad Ants since they lost Walt Lemon Jr., their leading scorer, to a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, and captain Trey McKinney Jones to a 10-day deal with the Indiana Pacers.
The Mad Ants, who beat Wisconsin 128-110 on Wednesday in Oshkosh, also played a second game without Edmond Sumner, who is on bereavement leave.
DeQuan Jones had 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Mad Ants, who have won seven of their last nine games.
Moore, a Pacers rookie, had 24 points and five rebounds. Jarrod Uthoff had 21 points and eight rebounds.
Canton (15-24) was paced by Thornton's 22 points. JaCorey Williams, Grant Jerrett and London Perrantes had 20 apiece.
