  • Mike Hollingsworth was the first animator hired by Netflix! As the Supervising Director on the first original animated Netflix series, BoJack Horseman he helped design the show and directed the original pilot. And now, in addition to BoJack, he's also the Supervising Director of Tuca & Bertie. Before his Netflix stint Mike directed, wrote, and voiced cartoons for the Comedy Central series Triptank and was a Director on Comedy Central's Brickleberry and HBO's The Life And Times Of Tim. He's also the creator of the Shut Up Cartoons! YouTube series Nature Break.

  • Visionary creative Taylor K. Shaw is the founder and CEO of Black Women Animate the first and only production company designed to improve the representation of black women in animation. While creating her own animated series, Taylor wanted to employ a team of black women animators but quickly realized her search would be more challenging than expected. She joined forces with Creative and Activist JLove Calderón to create BWA, a chance to help black women, women of color, and nonbinary artists of color in the world of animation obtain visibility and job opportunities

FORT WAYNE, IND. (Wednesday, Sept 12, 2019) -- Artlink is pleased to announce the keynote speakers for Yellow 2019, an art and creative tech summit to be held on the Arts Campus Oct 17th and 18th. The Yellow art and creative tech summit will kickoff with a special event in collaboration with Artlink's 212 program on Thursday evening Oct 17th featuring conversations on stage with Mike Hollingsworth, animation Director of BoJack Horseman and Taylor K Shaw, founder and CEO of the groundbreaking studio Black Women Animate.

“Both Mike Hollingsworth and Taylor K Shaw bring with them the knowledge and point of view of those who are front and center at a profound shift in the creative sector” said Matt McClure, Artlink Executive Direct. “We are excited to host this very special opportunity for our community to connect to creators at the forefront of their creative and innovative industries.”

Tickets for the Thursday evening kickoff go on sale Friday Oct 13th at 1:00 pm.

Friday speakers will include Rob Ducey technical director at Laika, Ken Fountain Supervising Animator for Baobab VR studio, Visual Artist Bryan Moss, a special presentation by Creative Mornings and more.
