The Journal Gazette

An Etna Green man is behind bars after a shooting in Kosciusko County Saturday night, the Kosciusko County sheriff's department said.

Police were called to Milford, where they found Michael Reynolds,45, of North Webster, with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

Reynolds told police he had gotten into an altercation with a man in Etna Green and drove to Milford after he had been shot by the man.

Police drove to 228 State St. in Etna Green, where Reynolds said the shooting had taken place, and tried to get the suspect, Shawn McCrum, 53, of Etna Green to come out. McCrum refused to surrender until SWAT officers broke down a door, the statement said.

Reynolds was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

McCrum was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail, where he is being held until the investigation is completed.
