A poll released today by Greater Fort Wayne finds "an overwhelming majority" of Allen County residents have a favorable view of the Electric Works project to revamp the former General Electric campus south of downtown.
That opinion held true across all Fort Wayne council districts and demographic groups, according to the research conducted by Campos Research and Strategy, Pittsburgh.
Researchers found 86 percent of 600 respondents viewed the project favorably, and when people were given a description of it, the favorable rating was 91 percent, according to a news release.
Respondents represented a cross section of Allen County residents. Four hundred people completed the poll online and 200 participated by phone, the release says.
