Blackhawk Christian's Frank Davidson named IBCA Player of the Week

VICTORIA JACOBSEN | The Journal Gazette

Blackhawk Christian senior Frank Davidson was named a co-winner for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association District 1 Player of the Week on Monday, sharing the honor with Andrean sophomore Kyle Ross.

Davidson scored 20 points in the Braves' 60-43 win over Barr-Reeve in the Class A state championship game on Saturday, which gave Blackhawk Christian the school's first state title in basketball. During his double-double performance, Davidson passed the school record of 1,431 points, which had been held by 2010 graduate Russell Byrd, to become the leading scorer in program history.

Davidson has committed to the University of Indianapolis.
