Another juvenile hurt in shooting; Police seeking suspects

Fort Wayne police are asking the community for help with the recent shootings targeting children. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to come forward.

A 13-year-old boy was a victim of gunfire as Fort Wayne police investigate a shooting that sent the teen to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries Monday, according to the police department.

Officers responded to the incident around 10:45 p.m. in the 3800 block of Euclid Avenue near East Rudisill Boulevard.

Reports say someone knocked at the door and the teen was shot when he went to answer it. 

Multiple shots were fired. There are no suspects, police said.

On Sunday, an 8-year-old boy suffered injuries after a gun was fired from outside a home in the 3200 block of Logan Avenue in southeast Fort Wayne.

The boy, who police said is in stable condition and recovering, was inside the home and was hit around his shoulder and chest.

No further information was provided about the Monday shooting.
