The Journal Gazette

A Wabash man has been charged with felony child solicitation by a child-care worker, Indiana State Police said today.

State police at Peru said Charles G. Marseilles Jr., 46, was charged with child solicitation by a child-care worker for sexual intercourse or other sexual conduct and child solicitation by a child-care worker engaged in fondling or touching a child 16 to 17 years old.

State police said they received information from the Wabash County division of the Indiana Department of Child Services alleging that Marseilles had performed sexual acts on a 16-year-old resident of White's Residential & Family Services. They said their investigation revealed that in December he purportedly committed sexual acts on a boy at the facility.

At the time, Marseilles was employed at White's as a campus life specialist, police said. They said he is no longer employed there.
