Health officials announced today that 1,945 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories, bringing to 133,411 the total number of Indiana residents known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.
A total of 3,555 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 21 from the previous day, the Indiana State Department of Health said in a statement. Another 227 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
To date, 1,474,639 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, 1,463,436 on Friday. A total of 2,306,562 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state since Feb. 26.
