Victim of Lima Road shooting identified

A 33-year-old Fort Wayne woman has been identified as the victim of a Thursday night shooting in the 8700 block of Lima Road, the Allen County coroner's office said today.

Alexia Deane Quinn died from multiple gunshot wounds, and her death is the 48th homicide of the year in the county, the coroner's office said in a statement following an autopsy.

Quinn was invoived in an altercation in which multiple people were shot, the statement said. She was taken to a local hospital, where death was pronounced.

Fort Wayne police have said they responded shortly after 10:30 p.m. after receiving a call that a man was breaking into a house with a gun.

On arrival, officers found three adult gunshot victims, two men and a woman. One of the male victims initially was reported to be in critical condition, and the other was reported to be in stable condition. The woman was also reported to be in serious condition.

The shooting remains under investigation by Fort Wayne police, the coroner's office and the county prosecutor's office.
