DEVAN FILCHAK | The Journal Gazette

A jury today found a man not guilty of murder in a fatal shooting at a party in May 2020.

Paris R. Patmon II, 36, was initially charged with murder, along with felony aggravated battery, battery, criminal recklessness and firearm used in commission of offense. The battery charge was dismissed before the trial, but the jury found Patmon not guilty of all remaining counts.

Roosevelt Allen III, 36, was shot to death on May 31, 2020, in a home in the 500 block of McKinnie Avenue. The shooting also injured two other men. Patmon was charged in November 2020.

A three-day jury trial started in Allen Superior Judge David Zent's court Tuesday and concluded today.
