Rupert suspended 14 games

JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

The ECHL suspended Indy's Ryan Rupert 14 games for his actions Friday, when he checked the Komets' Sean Flanagan from behind and then punched linesman Christopher Williams during the ensuing fight. The suspension recognized that Rupert is a repeat offender, having doled out a similar check this season to a Kalamazoo player. Rupert sat out Indy's season finale and still has 13 games to serve if he returns to the league.

Video of what Rupert did to receive the punishment is above.
