Jake Kamrass, who re-signed today with the Komets, has a training camp invite locked up with the Charlotte Checkers. They won the American Hockey League'a Calder Cup last season, defeating the Chicago Wolves in the finals. Chicago, of course, is one step above Fort Wayne in the Vegas Golden Knights' minor-league system.
Kamrass said he's worked this summer on becoming "a heavier player to be against" and "on shooting the puck."
Coming off his terrific rookie season, Kamrass said he's eager for more this year.
“Obviously, each and every year, you want to get better,” Kamrass said. “I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself, but I’ve been working hard this summer and if I apply all of that to my game, maybe I can elevate to another level and bring more to the table this year.”
