Goalie Cole Kehler has rejoined the Komets from the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign, which had called up Matthew Villalta on Monday.
Kehler is 2-1-0 with a 3.37 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage for the Komets. With Ontario, he played six minutes and stopped all eight shots he faced.
In other news, once again, the Komets are teaming with WOWO for the Penny Pitch campaign that raises money for Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Fans will be able to buy raffle tickets to win the game-worn Komets jerseys from the Bob Chase Memorial Game on Thanksgiving against the Wheeling Nailers.
An unlimited number of raffle tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum that night or fans can get five by buying their game tickets at groupmatics.events/event/pennypitch.
Chase, the longtime Komets and WOWO broadcaster, was passionate about Penny Pitch!
