ECHL hands suspensions to K's, Icemen (updated)

JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

The ECHL has finally announced its discipline for the fracas between the Komets and Jacksonville Icemen from last Friday’s game.

Icemen captain Emerson Clark has been suspended 16 games for abuse of officials and being a repeat offender.

Fort Wayne’s Chase Stewart and Kyle Haas got six games apiece. Patrick Munson was fined, as were the aforementioned players.

NOTE: While the ECHL had earlier stated that both teams were fined and both coaches, Fort Wayne’s Ben Boudreau and Jacksonville’s Jason Christie, had been “put on notice” for the rest of the season, this wasn't the case. It was mistakenly put in the press release and the ECHL has retracted it.
